Inerrant. Word of God. Written by multiple authors. Same message. Canon established. Manuscripts. The Bible being changed?
The trinity
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of The World, and the Jewish messiah. He is fully God and lived on this earth fully man at the same time. Through Christs suffering and death God made a way for us to be reconciled to Himself. God remains loving and perfectly just because of the sacrifice that Jesus makes. Being fully man, He subjected Himself to death through crucifixion. After Jesus died, he was placed in a tomb for 3 days and, being fully God, He resurrected on the third day. The resurrection proved that is who He said He is. The pinnacle moment of our faith lies on the resurrection.
Many people often question if Jesus speaks about Him being fully God and worthy to be worshipped. While Jesus doesn’t explicitly use the phrase “I am God, worship me”. He boldly states that He is God based on the context that He was in. This is often overlooked in the western world. Jesus does this in a few places but specifically he does so in Mark 12:35-37 as He quotes David in Psalm 110:1. The boldest claim however was the one which caused the High Priest to hand him over to Rome for crucifixion. This is found in Mark 14:60-65, specifically when Jesus speaks in v62 he is quoting Daniel 7:13-14. This prophecy Daniel gives is reserved for God alone, one who is worshipped and given all authority. This is also the reason Jesus calls Himself “The Son of Man”. Every time Jesus uses that phrase for himself He is calling Himself God.
It’s also worth noting that every time someone falls to worship at the feet of angels, that person is corrected for worshipping that angel (Revelation 22:8-9) but every time someone worships Jesus or declares Him to be God, Jesus never corrects or rebukes that person (John 20:28).
Jesus is the eternal God, Word became flesh (John 1:1).
The father
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
the holy spirit
The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.
The Church
The Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. While there are many denominations that have begun through different interpretations of scripture, the foundation that Christ is the center of it all is what unites the Global Church together.
